01
I’m Josh Roxby. I’ve lived a handful of lives, and I’ve started to understand the through-line in all of them.
02 — The lives
A partial list of the rooms I’ve been in and the things I’ve made.
A handful of lives, and I’m not done. None of it was tidy, and that’s the point — the range is the education.
03 — What I’ve learned
So when I say focus, work the plan, enjoy the process; when I say lean into execution, learn to juggle but never too much, find your balance and your strength in being able to land when you fall — I mean it from a lot of angles at once. These aren’t slogans I picked up somewhere. They’re the residue of having done the thing, in a lot of rooms, at a lot of altitudes.
I love learning, making, doing, supporting, educating, developing and conceptualising. That’s the work I want more of, and it’s the work I’m built for.
04 — How I think
My pattern recognition isn’t a superpower. It’s just well trained — a wide enough spread of experience that I tend to see the shape of a problem quickly, and the shape of a good answer not long after.
My taste came from exposure, not over-consumption. I paid close attention to a lot of things rather than consuming everything loosely, and that’s the filter I bring to a brief, a system or a build.
Underneath all of it is one discipline: systemised thinking, then execution. Understand the thing properly, design the system around the truth of it, and then actually ship. That’s the whole game.
05 — What’s next
My journey is only beginning, and now I want to put all of it to use — to share it, to nurture it further, and to help other people move.
Use my brain. Take my interpretation and my perspective. Support the creative work. Connect with me, and let’s make something happen.
